OnePlus' decision to stop launching smartphones in North America and Europe closed a major chapter. The brand built its reputation by challenging Samsung and Google with high-end hardware at prices that seemed impossible.
While Western markets watched the brand disappear from store shelves, the company has turned its attention to regions where value still drives buying decisions. India has become the center of its strategy. It has announced the new OnePlus N6x in the country.
OnePlus’ next budget phone is only days away
Earlier in July 2026, OnePlus released its higher-end N6 phone. The OnePlus N6x has now appeared on Amazon India and the brand's official website before its July 31 launch.
The listing introduces the phone in Burgundy Red and Ice Blue colors. It has flat sides with gently rounded corners, and the back panel has a textured finish that resembles brushed fabric or sandstone. The rear camera module sits in the top-left corner inside a rounded rectangular island.
There are two camera lenses stacked vertically alongside an LED flash inside it. It ships with a 7,000mAh battery acclaimed to last up to 60 hours on a single charge. It's supported by 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, and has a dual rear camera setup, a USB-C port, with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

OnePlus N6 is a more premium option
If you don't want to wait for the N6x, the OnePlus N6 is already available through Amazon India and other retailers in the country. It is the first entry in OnePlus' new N series.
It's a lineup of affordable smartphones that offer long battery life and reliable everyday performance. The N6 starts at ₹22,999 (about $238) for the base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage space.
The phone comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of high-brightness mode. It runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor.
Memory options include 4GB or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There's support for expansion with a microSD card, although it shares the second SIM slot.
On the back is a single 50MP main camera with phase-detection autofocus and LED flash, while an 8MP lens sits on the front. Both cameras support video recording up to 1080p resolution.
The phone has a large 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging, 5W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging. The N6 also has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It's available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green colors.
OnePlus hasn't revealed the N6x's pricing or full specifications yet. However, if it's priced below the N6, it could be an appealing entry point for buyers trying the brand for the first time.
