A First Look at “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed”
Apple TV unveiled its anticipated new dark comedic thriller, “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.” The series was created and executive produced by David J. Rosen, with Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black,” “The Monkey”) leading the cast alongside Jake Johnson (“New Girl,” and the upcoming “The Dink”).
Each episode runs for half an hour, and the series debuted globally with the first two episodes on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. New episodes have continued to release every Wednesday through July 15.
Into the Rabbit Hole: Plot and Cast
At the heart of “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” is Paula, played by Maslany—a newly divorced mom who spirals into a world of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer. In the midst of a custody battle and grappling with an identity crisis, Paula becomes convinced she’s witnessed a crime. As she launches her own investigation, she risks exposing a larger conspiracy that could help her rebuild her fractured family and sense of self.
The ensemble cast also includes Brandon Flynn (“13 Reasons Why”), Murray Bartlett (“The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus”), Jessy Hodges (“Barry”), Jon Michael Hill (“Elementary”), Charlie Hall (“The Sex Lives of College Girls,” “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”), Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg (“Charmed,” “Invasion”), Nola Wallace (“The Strangers: Chapter 2,” “The Strangers: Chapter 3”), and Dolly De Leon (“Nine Perfect Strangers,” “Triangle of Sadness”).
Behind the scenes, David J. Rosen (“Sugar,” “Hunters”) serves as writer and showrunner and is joined by director and executive producer David Gordon Green (“Nutcrackers,” “The Righteous Gemstones”). The producing team features Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Films (as part of their Apple TV first-look deal), Bard Dorros for Anonymous Content, and Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, and Elise Henderson for Counterpart Studios.
