Besides the X300 FE, Vivo has launched the X300 Ultra globally, making this the first international debut for its top-tier X Series imaging flagship. More importantly, this looks like one of the most camera-focused Android phones we’ve seen this year, with dedicated prime focal lengths, a 200MP telephoto camera, and creator-first video tools.
The X300 Ultra takes what we saw on the X300 Pro and builds around what Vivo calls its ZEISS Master Lenses Collection. That means three rear cameras with distinct focal lengths at 85mm, 35mm, and 14mm, rather than the usual flagship setup where one or two lenses do most of the heavy lifting.
Camera system

The headline camera is the 85mm ZEISS Gimbal-Grade APO Telephoto Camera. It uses a 200MP sensor, supports 60fps AF Tracking in Snapshot mode, and adds 3-degree gimbal-level OIS for more stable handheld shots. Vivo is also using ZEISS T* coating and Super Blue Glass to reduce flare and ghosting.
Then there’s the 35mm ZEISS Documentary Camera, which uses Sony’s 1/1.12-inch LYTIA 901 sensor and supports 200MP direct output. On paper, that should make it a strong fit for street photography, portraits, and lower-light shots where a more natural focal length tends to work best.
The 14mm ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera rounds things out. Vivo is clearly trying to avoid the usual weak ultra-wide treatment here, positioning it as a more serious option for landscape and creative wide-angle work.
400mm reach

The other big talking point is support for optional telephoto extenders. The new Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra extends the equivalent focal length to 400mm, with Vivo claiming 200MP optical output and a Kepler-inspired design featuring 15 high-transmittance glass elements.
Vivo is also keeping support for the 200mm extender, and that accessory has been cut from 210g to 153g. That matters because add-on camera gear only works if people will actually carry it.
Video features

Vivo is making a big push on video, too. The X300 Ultra supports Multi-Focal 4K 120fps 10-bit Log Video and Multi-Focal 4K 120fps Dolby Vision Video across all rear cameras, which is still rare on a phone.
There’s also an upgraded Pro Video Mode, support for custom 3D LUT previews, and compatibility with the ACES workflow. That last point will matter most to editors and serious creators, but it shows Vivo wants this phone to fit into a more professional shooting and grading workflow.

The company is also launching a SmallRig Pro Video Rig Kit with a camera cage, dual grips, physical shutter and zoom controls, plus a cooling fan. It’s niche, sure, but it gives the X300 Ultra a clearer identity than most flagship launches.
Performance and battery

Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with Vivo’s Pro Imaging Chip VS1+. Vivo says the phone also uses a liquid-cooling vapor chamber to keep performance stable during heavier tasks, such as 4K 120fps recording.
The battery capacity is 6600 mAh, with support for 100W wired FlashCharge and 40W wireless FlashCharge. Vivo is also including bypass charging with smart temperature control, which should help when the phone is under sustained load.
Display and durability
The X300 Ultra features a 2K ZEISS Master Color Display with a local peak brightness of 4500 nits. Durability is covered by Armor Glass and IP68/IP69 dust- and water-resistance, while 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 handles security.
Software and design

The phone ships with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Vivo is promising five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security maintenance, and the software also includes Vivo Office Kit, One-Tap Transfer for iPhone, and Origin Island.
Design-wise, Vivo is leaning hard into the camera look. The X300 Ultra gets a metal biscuit-style camera module, knurled texture, engraved detailing, and a flat 6.82-inch display. The Black version weighs 232g, while the Green and White models weigh 237g and are 8.49mm thick.

Verdict
On paper, the X300 Ultra looks like one of the most ambitious camera phones of 2026. The dedicated focal lengths, optional 400mm reach, and genuinely creator-focused video features give it a much clearer purpose than the average flagship. Global pricing and market availability are still to be confirmed, but this is already one to watch.
