Back in April, Motorola announced its latest foldable phones, the higher-end of which was the Motorola Razr Ultra. As soon as it was announced, I knew it was a second year of Motorola beating Samsung at the clamshell game (but not getting the recognition it deserves). Well, it was clear until the Galaxy Flip 7 came out.
I still think the Razr Ultra is the better clamshell foldable, don't get me wrong. It's just not as big a gap as it used to be. Some people will find the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to be a more compelling choice due to its upgrades, but Motorola wants you to focus on the device that's better, with a deal that gives you two forms of savings in one.
Motorola Will Give You Double the Storage on the Razr Ultra for Free

If you want to get your hands on the Motorola Razr Ultra, then you probably always make good decisions. The big thing that makes the device a little harder to choose than its closest competitor, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, is its price. It starts at $1,299, compared to Samsung's $1,099 price tag. $200 extra means that you should get a lot more value, and thankfully, you do. Thanks to a deal that's currently running, you get even more in return.
The $1,299 Razr Ultra will typically give you a 512GB variant, but right now, Motorola is giving you the chance to get double the storage for free. That means you pay the base price, but receive the 1TB variant in return. That's saving you $200, so that's hardly a bad deal.
Of course, this deal will only last for as long as stocks last, so if you want to take a swing at it, you'd better swing fast.
The 1TB Motorola Razr Ultra Comes With a Free Motorola Smartwatch

The storage upgrade isn't all that Motorola wants you to get for $1,299. Besides getting a 1TB variant of the phone, the OEM is ready to throw in a Motorola smartwatch for you, for free. It's the Moto Watch Fit, which is relatively tame and far from being the most in-demand option in the market, but it will get the job done.
The Moto Watch Fit has a value of $199.99, launched in April this year, and has a pretty modest spec sheet:
- 1.9-inch rectangular OLED display
- 348 x 442 resolution
- Gorilla Glass 3 protection
- IP68 certification, 5 ATM water resistance
- Accelerometer, gyroscope, heart rate, PPG sensor
The Razr Ultra Knocks the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Out of the Park, Even With $200 on Top

If you're struggling to make a decision between Motorola and Samsung's clamshell foldables, let me help you. The $200 that Motorola would have you pay on top of the Z Flip's price tag is a lot. However, the company does plenty to justify the Razr Ultra, and with this deal in place right now, it's a no-brainer.

Generally speaking, the only thing that Samsung's phone has over the Motorola, on paper, is that it is thinner and lighter. However, Motorola wins in essentially everything else. So, no one will blame you if you choose to go with Moto.
