If you're looking for a smartwatch and you're planning to use it with your Android device, then the popular Apple Watch is a terrible choice. In such a circumstance, you'll be better off going for something made by one of many major OEMs in that space. For instance, there's Samsung, Garmin, Google, Xiaomi, or even Huawei.
If you're bored with the options that are available, you might not be opposed to a new major player in the space. Motorola isn't new to smartwatches, but it hasn't found itself in the segment for a long time. Looks like that will change this year, with the revival of the Moto 360 smartwatch. Here's our first look at what the device will look like.
The Motorola Moto 360 Smartwatch Seems Set to Make a Stylish Return

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having multiple players in a single market segment. In fact, many would argue that it is better to have it that way, thanks to the competition that it brings. OEMs are forced to be more innovative with designs and features, and more aggressive with pricing.
Motorola is about to reclaim its place in the smartwatch space, making that segment a little more competitive than before. We last saw the Moto 360 in 2019, so it's been quite some time.
There are a few things that we know about the upcoming smartwatch, and those include:
- It'll come with a round display and body.
- It'll have a rotating crown and a single button.
- One of the default designs will be a silver body with a metallic strap.
- The smartwatch will be available in five colorways.
- The Moto 360 should launch before the end of the year.
- It will run on Moto Watch OS, potentially alongside Wear OS (a dual-OS strategy, similar to OnePlus).
I think the smartwatch looks pretty stylish, especially for those who like the appeal of a metal watch band as opposed to a leather or rubber one.
No Word on Whether the Moto 360 Will Be Actual Motorola Hardware

Motorola isn't new to smartwatches. In fact, its name is engraved in smartwatch history. Its Moto 360 came out as one of the first smartwatches running Android Wear, the predecessor to Wear OS. It was also the first round smartwatch running on the platform, though back then, manufacturers couldn't get perfectly round screens and had to use a “flat tire” design.
The Moto 360 stuck around until 2019, however, in that case, it was a bit different. 2019's model had the Motorola name but was manufactured by a completely different company—one called eBuyNow.
| Model | Manufacturer | Year |
| Moto 360 | Motorola | 2014 |
| Moto 360 (2nd-Gen) | Motorola | 2015 |
| Moto 360 (3rd-Gen) | eBuyNow | 2019 |
| Moto 360 (2025) | TBA | 2025 |
That makes us wonder whether this year's model will be another licensing situation or whether we'll be wearing actual Motorola hardware on our wrists a decade later. Only time will tell in that regard, as Android Headlines' leak doesn't make it certain whether this is a “pure” Moto 360.
