There's been a lot of bad press for certain carriers in the US, as they struggle to increase profit margins and keep their numbers at favorable levels. T-Mobile might be foremost in a recent wave of poor customer-facing decisions. If it wasn't one of the largest carriers in the US, some of its moves could have hurt it really badly.
Regardless, T-Mobile knows that some customers aren't happy, and to put smiles on their faces (or to drown out the negativity), it has decided to offer a pretty sweet deal. Do you need a new phone? How about the Pixel 9a? How about new earbuds like the Pixel Buds A-Series? T-Mobile will give you both of those, for free, and there isn't much of a catch.
How About a Google Pixel 9a for Free? T-Mobile Wants to Make That Happen for You

Carriers need to find creative ways to attract customers who are unhappy with other carriers. One good way to do that is to offer sweet deals that will bring customers in and then lock them down (hopefully with good service, and not a three-year payment plan).
Today, T-Mobile is demonstrating one good example of that, and this deal in particular might be one of the sweetest offers that I've seen in a while. The carrier is going to give you the chance to get the Google Pixel 9a, the tech giant's latest smartphone, entirely for free. It will be paid off with 24 monthly bill credits, but it will eventually be yours, without paying a dime.
| Google Pixel 9a | |
| Screen | 6.3-inch, OLED, FHD+, 120Hz |
| Processor | Google Tensor G4 |
| Storage | 128GB, 256GB; UFS 3.1 |
| Memory | 8GB |
| Rear Cameras | 48MP main + 13MP ultrawide |
| Selfie Camera | 13MP |
| Battery | 5,100mAh |
| Charging | 23W wired, 7.5W wireless |
All you really need to do is activate a new line on a qualifying plan, though T-Mobile isn't explicit about which plans count as that. It does say “most plans,” though, so there's that. Anyway, the Pixel 9a is a very solid device, and it's even harder to say no to it if you're not paying.
The Carrier Will Throw in the Google Pixel Buds A-Series, But Online Only

But the Pixel 9a isn't all. What makes this deal even sweeter is that in one fell swoop, you can get the Pixel 9a along with the budget Pixel Buds A-Series. Yes, all of that without paying with any of your own money.
The Pixel Buds deal is an online exclusive from T-Mobile, and to lay claim to it, there are very few things to take note of:
- You must buy another Pixel 9 device (excluding the Fold) on a monthly plan or in full.
- The Google Pixel Buds A-Series must be added to the cart and purchased in the same transaction as the phone.
- You will receive an instant $99.99 discount, clearing the price for the Pixel Buds A-Series.
- The deal is limited to one pair of earbuds per T-Mobile account.

And if you don't happen to like what the Pixel Buds A-Series offer, you can get the same $99.99 discount on the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which might prefer audio that's more to your taste.
