There's been a lot of bad press for certain carriers in the US, as they struggle to increase profit margins and keep their numbers at favorable levels. It will be paid off with 24 monthly bill credits, but it will eventually be yours, without paying a dime.

All you really need to do is activate a new line on a qualifying plan, though T-Mobile isn't explicit about which plans count as that. It does say “most plans,” though, so there's that. Anyway, the Pixel 9a is a very solid device, and it's even harder to say no to it if you're not paying.
