A few months ago, Realme unveiled its P3 lineup to the world. The series was limited to India, but brought a midrange chipset and a value-focused balance of specs outside of that. Plus, when converted to USD, its pricing started just under $200, which made these phones rather attractive to those looking for budget options.

Realme has decided that it isn't fair to limit the “ultimate value” that the P series brings to people in India, and the company's CEO has announced its intentions for a global launch. There's no date given yet, but it is pretty clear that we can expect the phones to arrive soon. Let's talk about it.

After Over 2M Units Sold in India, the Realme P3 Series Will Go Global

Realme's P3 series was a smash hit over in India, the only market that it launched in. With such impressive sales—more than 2M units sold—over just a few months, it is clear that people like what the phone delivers, both on paper and in person. As a result, Sky Li, the founder and CEO of Realme, has announced that the company will have a global launch for the P lineup of devices, and that's exciting.

The P series is described as being designed “specifically for the international e-commerce market”, which signifies a phone that you won't be able to officially purchase in person. Instead, it will be exclusive to online retailers, but that's not a bad thing since most people buy phones online these days.

Sky Li says that the phones in the P3 family save you the headache of trying to find a device that balances performance, design, imaging, and value. That dilemma will be gone, and you'll get the “ultimate value” smartphone—one that balances:

  • high-grade performance
  • fantastic cameras
  • premium design

This is a mid-range phone series, though, so it's essential to realize that much of that will be hyperbole. There's only so much that can be done around the $200 price point, after all.

Could This Mean That the Realme P4 Series Is Close?

I've been thinking about it, and it is hard to tell from Realme's precise wording, but is the company suggesting that it'll bring the P3 series to global markets (the devices launched in March), or is it saying that an imminent Realme P launch will be global from the start? It's hard to tell, but if I were to guess, I'd say it is more likely to bring the P3 to global markets. The timeline of the P series so far gives an idea of why I've assumed that.

Launch Date
Realme P1 SeriesApril 2024
Realme P2 ProSeptember 2024
Realme P3 SeriesMarch 2025

Releasing the P4 series this month or next would be way ahead of the schedule that the company followed last year, and it would also give the P3 series a painfully short lifespan (though 2M units sold already isn't a bad place to move on to the next thing).
