Once, phones had screens protected by what was essentially plastic, and backs made of the same material (or metal, for the more premium entries). In this age of the “glass sandwich” phone, the most drop-resistant thing on your smartphone is the metal frame. Even if you have a screen protector and a case, drops can sometimes break your phone.

That's why repair insurance programs exist: to save you from forking over hundreds of dollars in the event of damage. In Samsung's case, you can only enroll for a limited window after purchasing the device. But, in the spirit of goodwill, if you have one of Samsung's current flagship phones or tablets, you'll have another chance to enroll.

Samsung Opens Up Samsung Care+ Enrollment Up to Mid-June

If you have a Samsung flagship, whether a tablet, a foldable, or a regular bar phone, then you're probably pretty serious about your mobile devices. People who are serious about their devices also hate to see them get damaged, more so than the average person.

That's why most people will get a case, and maybe a tempered glass screen protector, from the moment that they buy the phone. You know that cases and screen protectors don't always save your phone in the event of a drop, though. Plus, some folks like to tote their phones “naked”. The bottom line is that accidents happen, and with a program like Samsung Care+, you'll have peace of mind in the event that your phone gets damaged.

The only thing is that Samsung Care+ is typically only available within a 30-day window after buying your smartphone. So, if you didn't sign up early enough, for whatever reason, you lose the chance to hop on.

Well, that's the typical way things play out. Samsung has opened special enrollment windows for Care+ in the past, and we've just gotten another one. If you have any of the following devices, you'll be able to sign up for Care+, at least up until June 15th. That's plenty of time to make up your mind.

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 series
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series

What Are the Requirements to Sign Up for Samsung Care+?

Before you get too excited, you have to take note of certain eligibility requirements for this window. They're not too ridiculous, thankfully.

  • You have to register for Samsung Care+ in the same region where the device was purchased.
  • The device has to be in good condition before you can sign up. So, if it has damage, fix it first, then you can enroll.
  • Like any insurance scheme, you will need to pay a premium on a monthly or yearly basis.
