Amid the on-going lawsuit faced by Ironmace – the studio responsible for Dark and Darker PC – Krafton acquired the rights to Dark and Darker Mobile. For those who don't know, Krafton is the video game publishing company behind games like PUBG: Battlegrounds, Defense Derby, Subnautica, and a host of other mobile, PC, and console games.
Ever since acquiring the rights back in August 2023, Krafton and Bluehole Studio have been hard at work. And the rave reviews of the first closed-beta test indicate that it's paying off.
In April 2024, Krafton invited a handful of fans to their South Korean headquarters to test the very first version of Dark and Darker Mobile. Now, the studio is lining up another closed-beta before the full release.

The second closed-beta will now be held in August 2024 and players from the United States, Japan, and Turkiye can sign up for the test.
