Samsung's devices are always the most heavily anticipated in the Android space, and with the company's new foldables expected to launch in about two months, the leaks have started pouring in. The only thing is, they've been relatively confusing with the addition of new models to the foldable lineup for the first time.

However, we've finally gotten a glimpse at a few images of the physical device, which at least clarify all the mystery regarding the design. And yes, this is one aspect where I will finally give Samsung all the praise that it deserves.

The Z Fold 6 Is Certainly Getting A Lot More Angular, And It's A Much Better Look

The leaks have been saying it for quite some time, but at a point, it seemed like the Z Fold 6 Ultra was going to be getting a new design while the regular Z Fold 6 was going to maintain a rounded look. However, with our first look at the physical device courtesy Ice Universe, it has now been confirmed that the plain ol' lovable Z Fold 6 will be upgraded to a new design, and this pleases me greatly.

As you can see, the new design aligns more with what Samsung does with the Ultra devices in its S series. It loses the rounded corners and goes for much sharper edges. The hinge is also less evident when looking at the device from straight-on, which makes it look a lot more like a regular smartphone when folded. It's also clear the aspect ratio has gotten shorter; again, like a regular smartphone. The top and bottom bezels have also shrunk a tad, though the side bezels don't seem to have a noticeable difference.

At the same time, this hands-on image gives us the advantage of seeing that there might have been an improvement to the cover display on the new foldable as the colors seemed to be tuned quite differently. However, it could end up being merely that, a change in the color tuning.

Generally, though, I'm a huge fan of what Samsung has done here. I don't hate phones with rounded corners, but the Z Fold lineup was due for a design update and this is one of the best ways they could have gone, coming from an S Ultra user. It looks a lot more modern now.

The Camera Module Design Is Getting Some Slight Tweaks

Thanks to Ice Universe, once again, we have a good look at the backside of the Z Fold 6. Well, at least a little bit of it. Call it a teaser. The partial image shows off one camera ring, the LED flash, and part of the back of the phone.

The camera ring will be surrounded by a black ring with concentric circles and should be contained in a rounded rectangle camera island. Once again, we get confirmation of the squared-off corners and we can see the device will have a flat back and a flat frame. There isn't much beyond that to garner from this partial shot.
