Mobile carriers in the United States love to provide extra value beyond just letting you make calls, send messages, and browse the internet on their network. For instance, T-Mobile has a thing they call T-Mobile Tuesdays, and you get free stuff — you guessed it — every Tuesday.
On a Tuesday not too far from us right now, it's been leaked what T-Mobile will be providing, and this time, it'll be a physical gift: sunglasses, along with an additional perk for the solar eclipse that will happen next month. Summer is coming, so that sounds perfect.
T-Mobile Is Ready To Get Their Loyal Customers Ready For Summer With Free Shades
T-Mobile wants to get its customers ready for the summer as it fast approaches, so it has decided that on one of its upcoming T-Mobile Tuesdays, the freebie of the week is going to be a pair of T-Mobile branded sunglasses, and it's expected for this Tuesday or the next one. We know this thanks to The Mobile Report.
Let's talk about the actual shades though. They look a lot like Ray-Ban's original Wayfarer design, though not identical. You won't be able to avoid the T-Mobile branding obviously, but it isn't as obnoxious as it could have been. The front of the frames are all black, but all other surfaces are the carrier's iconic magenta. You'll also get the T-Mobile “T” near the base of both arms. The magenta might mean these aren't for you, but some folks might be able to pull the shades off.
The sunglasses will also come with a little carrying bag and a clip-on lens for safely viewing a solar eclipse (since there'll be a total solar eclipse visible from the United States on April 8th, 2024). That's a nice touch from them and hopefully, if you get these, you'll find yourself in an area that favors viewing the eclipse — the next total solar eclipse is expected 20 years from now, after all!
How Can You Redeem Freebies For T-Mobile Tuesdays?
Launched in 2016, you'll need to be a T-Mobile subscriber if you want to enjoy the perks that come with their Tuesdays, but even then, you will have to be on a plan that qualifies for these freebies, as not all of them do. T-Mobile says that T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile customers on a “qualifying branded monthly rate plan” are eligible, and that supposedly includes most monthly plans including voice and data for consumers and businesses.
Once you know that you're qualified, the next thing that you're going to need to do is download the “T Life” application from the Google Play Store, sign into it, and you'll be able to hop on any deals that you see on Tuesdays.
Just keep in mind that deals that promise physical gifts, such as these sunglasses or other forms of merch, will depend on the available stocks. So if you're not able to get a pair of these sunglasses when you show up at the store, you might have been too slow.
