If you're a self-acclaimed smartphone historian like myself, you might know that Realme is a Chinese phone brand that started off as a sub-brand of Oppo. Eventually, the company broke off on its own, and they've been doing pretty awesome things since then.

Realme's GT line is home to their flagship phones, but the GT Neo provides flagship performance at a more affordable price. We'll be getting the Realme GT Neo 6 soon, and it is set to launch with a Snapdragon chip that is currently unreleased.

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Will Power The Realme GT Neo 6

The Realme GT Neo 6 is the next high-end smartphone that we're expecting from the Chinese manufacturer, and considering it was just certified in India, it looks like it might be coming a lot sooner than we expect. The exact same model number (RMX3851) was certified in Europe and Indonesia too.

That's not the only place that RMX3851 has been spotted either. It was seen in the Geekbench database running on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, so it seems more than likely that's the GT Neo 6 since Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has been telling us that's the SoC it's going to come packing. The 8s Gen 3 is expected to be a little brother to the full-blown Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, so expect high-end performance at a lower price point.

What we do know about the phone impresses me, as it is rumored it will max out in a 24GB/1TB configuration. Realme's done it before (and I thought 24GB of RAM was overkill then too) so I don't think it is improbable for the top model. It'll run Android 14, come with a 1.5K 144Hz OLED screen, and the main snapper will be a 50MP unit with OIS. Charging will be a very impressive 100W, but there's no talk on the battery capacity yet.

The Device Will Launch Alongside The Even More Affordable Realme GT Neo 6 SE

The Realme GT Neo 6 won't be born into the world alone though, and it will come along with a less aggressive model called the GT Neo 6 SE. This one will have the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 in tow instead, and that's been confirmed by the company. It's also the first time Realme is even acknowledging its existence.

We also expect it to come with a 1.5K LTPO OLED module, which may be the exact display on the main GT Neo 6 (the GT Neo 5 SE and GT Neo 5 had very similar screens). It'll also have a 5,500 mAh battery and support for 100W of wired charging.

When Can We Expect These New Realme Devices To Launch?

Good question. While there's no official teaser or even leaks pointing to a specific date, we know for sure that the phones should launch in the second quarter of this year, which is already upon us — a release this month is extremely improbable.

The GT Neo 5 launched in February, but the GT Neo 5 SE launched in April, so perhaps that's a good time to keep our eyes set on.
