Samsung Galaxy S II owners waiting for the release of their USB On-The-Go cables will wait no longer thanks to member NZtechfreak over at XDA. The member discovered that a standard off-the-shelf USB OTG cable will do just fine while simultaneously saving you a major hole in your wallet.
Only enough power to supply pendrives, but drives with their own power supplies, or drives connected to the phone via an externally powered HUB, will work.
Read speeds are fast enough to watch 1080p content.
Unfortunately USB keyboard/mouse, and two different USB gamepads were a fail.
If you want more info, check out the original thread over at XDA. If you get this to work for your Galaxy S II feel free to drop us a comment or two below.

I have Samsung galaxy core. I tried to connect OTG cable to my mobile but it didn’t work. Can I upgrade my mobile with the necessary software so that it works?

if you add an USB to HDMI adapter to the hub, would work ???
Here’s the cable I use and it works great. I like it better then the Samsung adapter cause it’ll work with by stand 9it doesn’t get in the way) https://www.amazon.com/Micro-USB-Host-Cable-accommodating/dp/B005GGBYJ4%3F
