Oppo has been unusually aggressive with launch plans this quarter, especially with the BBK ecosystem becoming tighter. Most of the spotlight has gone to the Find X9 series with the Hasselblad branding and a bigger battery upgrade. Turns out that the smaller, yet still powerful, Find X9s Pro phone is also launching with them this month.
Oppo Find X9s Pro is a mini monster
Oppo’s Find 9s Pro is expected to launch alongside the Find X9 and Find X9 Ultra smartphones on April 21 in China. The leak comes from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, and other leakers on X.
The phone is a smaller model of the original flagships, and yet it packs features that are enough to rival them. It has a 6.32-inch display, a 1.5K resolution with a fast 144Hz refresh rate, and near invisible bezels. It’s also expected to use a new generation U9 Pro panel from Tianma, a Chinese display manufacturer.
The U9 Pro is designed to reduce harmful blue light at the hardware level. Older displays would use software to change the color temperature into warmer tones in displayed images.
But it's basically filtering the output after it’s already been generated, so color accuracy will drop. This newer display technology should also support 3840Hz PWM dimming that will reduce flicker, a known cause of eye fatigue during long use.
The phone will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of storage. It’ll ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. The battery is 7,025mAh with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The camera setup includes dual 200MP sensors for the main and periscope zoom cameras, plus a 50MP ultra-wide. There's an optional teleconverter lens attachment you can clip onto the cameras, and magnify subjects.
It’s designed with Hasselblad, and the attachment was spotted in a 30-second video teaser on Weibo. It's a long, white cylindrical lens with an orange ring near the front.

Find X9s may not launch globally
Leaked Geekbench scores for the Find X9s Pro are so strong, they put it ahead of the regular Find X9. It's even competitive with the Pro model. The listing reveals the model number PME-110, and an “all big core” setup with one core exceeding four billion cycles per second (4GHz). It scored 3463 (single-core) and 10174 (multi-core).
The phone weighs 198g and is expected to come in Titanium, White, Cyan, and Orange colors, with a large horizontal camera module on the back. It’s launching alongside the Find X9 and X9 Ultra phones on April 21 in China, which will launch globally afterward. Pricing is unconfirmed.
But there's a good chance that the X9s Pro will stay exclusive to China, especially with the recent developments around its sister manufacturer OnePlus. They're leaving the global market, and the expectation is that Oppo will replace it.
But the brand doesn't have as strong a presence as OnePlus does. Hence, they may decide to focus on markets where they’re already strong and where launching a device doesn’t come with heavy regulations and logistics.
