As Samsung prepares to launch its new Galaxy Z Fold 5 next month, OnePlus is itself getting ready to announce its debut in the foldable segment with the V Fold which could be a high-specced beast if the latest leak is accurate. A leaked list of hardware specifications has revealed that the OnePlus V Fold is targetted directly at Samsung's upcoming foldable with features such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 120Hz displays all round, 67W fast-charging, and a trio of rear cameras which include a pair of 48MP sensors and a 64MP telephoto lens.

According to MySmartPrice, the OnePlus V Fold could launch in August with the following specifications:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Processor
- 16GB RAM
- 256GB Storage
- 7.8-inch Internal AMOLED screen with 2K resolution, 120Hz Refresh Rate.
- 6.3-inch external AMOLED screen with 120Hz Refresh Rate
- 4,800mAh Battery with 67W Fast Charging
- 48MP Main Rear Camera + 48MP Ultra-wide + 64MP telephoto
- 32MP Cover Screen camera
- 20MP Camera on internal display
- OxygenOS 13.1 (Android 13)
Basically, it would seem that we can expect the V Fold to be just as premium a handset as the rather excellent OnePlus 11 5G was earlier in the year – and that's no bad thing. While it was originally thought to be a clone of Oppo's Find N2, the V Fold looks to directly challenge Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 in aspect ratio and specs. Something that OnePlus fans will appreciate is the inclusion of the venerable alert slider on the V Fold, giving it a unique function in the face of its competitors.
What do you think of the OnePlus V Fold as it looks from the recent leaks? Is there any feature that you would like to see included when it reportedly launches in August?
