As flippant as the title is, Google Lens really can help identify skin conditions thanks to its most recent update. It's not a doctor and it's not meant to replace a professional medical opinion, but Google Lens may give you some insight into what that thing on your arm is.
How it works is when you open up the Google Lens app and use the viewfinder to ‘see' the intended location, after which the app will search for skin conditions that are visually similar to what is on your sking. Again, it's more for informational services and it isn't meant to be treated as gospel. Remember that the Google Lens app cannot see what is going on under the surface of your skin, so it's still best to go see a doctor.
Google says that the feature will work with conditions such as a “bump on your lip, line on your nails, or hair loss on your head” besides things like moles and rashes.
It's still a nifty feature, and one that could prove useful when it's not possible to visit a medical professional in person. Would you use Google Lens to check if the mole or freckle on your arm is behaving itself?
