YouTube Premium is about to get a lot more crowded, in a good way. Google and NBCUniversal announced a multi-year global partnership that will bundle ad-supported Peacock Premium into YouTube Premium for eligible US subscribers starting in early 2027, folding one more streaming subscription into a bundle you're probably already paying for.
What's new

Beginning early 2027, Peacock Premium gets bundled directly into YouTube Premium, available seamlessly within the YouTube experience rather than as a separate app or login. That's on top of everything YouTube Premium already includes: ad-free viewing, background play, downloads, and YouTube Music.
If you don't want to wait until 2027, there's a faster path. Peacock Premium becomes available as a standalone add-on through YouTube Primetime Channels later this summer, at its current standalone price of $10.99 a month. Peacock Premium Plus has already been available that way since late June.
Why it matters
This is NBCUniversal's largest wholesale distribution deal for Peacock to date, and it's Google pairing its ad business with NBCUniversal's live sports and franchise catalog inside a platform most people already have open daily. For YouTube Premium subscribers, it's a second major streaming service added to an existing bill. For NBCUniversal, it's instant reach into YouTube Premium's existing subscriber base without needing anyone to sign up separately.
Key details
The sports lineup here is the real headline: NFL, the Olympics, NBA, MLB, Big Ten and Notre Dame football, Big 12, Big East and Big Ten basketball, the Premier League, WNBA, the Kentucky Derby, and golf, all folding into the bundle. On the entertainment side, subscribers get Love Island USA, The Real Housewives franchise, Law & Order: SVU, Saturday Night Live, The Traitors, All Her Fault, and The Office, plus Universal's film library.
The deal extends beyond the Premium bundle too. NBCUniversal's existing YouTube TV distribution agreement gets extended, NBC Sports becomes a production partner for select live sports streamed on YouTube, and the companies are deepening their advertising technology partnership through FreeWheel. International streaming services Universal+ and Hayu are also expanding their reach through YouTube Premium in select overseas markets.
The takeaway
Two dates matter here. The Primetime Channels add-on lands this summer at $10.99 a month standalone, no bundle required. The actual bundled version, where Peacock comes included with YouTube Premium at no extra charge, doesn't arrive until early 2027. If you want Peacock now, you'll be paying for it separately until then.
