Originally slated for launch last week, Motorola has instead confirmed that the Razr 2022 and X30 Pro flagships will instead be announced on August 11th, a day after Samsung's Unpacked event. While Motorola hasn't given a reason for the delay in launching the Razr 2022 and X30 Pro, we do have a good idea of what to expect from the two devices, both of which are said to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Razr 2022
Besides being powered by Qualcomm's latest chipset, the Razr 2022 will sport a 6.7-inch OELD display with a 144Hz refresh rate while its 2.7-inch cover display is seemingly the same as on the Razr 5. The rear camera housing sports a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP secondary camera, while the internal display houses a 32MP selfie camera. While it's been confirmed that the Razr 2022 will feature a 3,500mAh battery, it's not yet known how fast it can charge.
Motorola X30 Pro
As it is on the Razr 2022 clamshell, the X30 Pro (Frontier) is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It's got a 6.67-inch display and will be capable of 125W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging. Motorola has already confirmed the presence of a 200MP main camera (Samsung HP1), which will be accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. While it will launch in China as the X30 Pro, it's thought that it will be known as the Edge 30 Ultra in western markets. Thanks to a recent leak, we already know that the Edge 30 Ultra will be priced at €899 (~$915) in European markets, which is very competitive.
