Samsung finally confirmed that it will hold an Unpacked event to launch its new devices on August 10, where it's expected that the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 4, as well as the Galaxy Watch 5 series. While we wait for the launch day to come around, a new report points to the new foldables sporting slightly higher price tags than the outgoing models.

Originating from a European retailer who published the pricing prematurely and via GizPaw who documented the information before it was removed, the prices for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 go as follows:

Galaxy Z Fold 4 (F936B):

  • 256GB: €1,863.89
  • 512GB: €1,981.89

Galaxy Z Flip 4 (F721B):

  • 128GB: €1,080.90
  • 256GB: €1,158.89
  • 512GB: €1,275.89

If accurate, these leaked prices would see the Galaxy Z Fold 4 getting a €50-100 bump over the outgoing models, depending on the chosen configuration. The difference is slightly less with the Galaxy Z Flip 4 which gets a €30-60 increase.

Besides the price increase, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will sport a slightly larger battery, increased charging speed from 15W to 25W, as well as the presence of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which promises a bump in performance and up to 30% more power efficiency over its predecessor.

With the ongoing cost of living crisis, higher gas prices, and the war in the Ukraine, a slight rise in price is to be expected. It should also be pointed out that these prices aren't official by any means, but they do give us a hint of what to expect when Samsung unveils the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on August 10th.
