There's a lot of excitement over here at TalkAndroid over Google's upcoming Pixel 6 flagships and their bold design language that, in our humble opinion, re-invigorates the search giant's mobile strategy. At least cosmetically, anyway. The rumors have all pointed to there being two handsets in the Pixel 6 series which has since been confirmed, but it seems that Google could stick to its naming strategy from previous generations.
The larger Pixel 6 Pro as it's been called may actually be known as the Pixel 6 XL within Google, the news of which was temporarily revealed in Android 12's new game dashboard by developers.
Does it matter if it's called the Pixel 6 Pro or 6 XL?
Nope, not at all. Either moniker would make sense considering that it would be the larger of the two handsets. If the naming strategy continues to use the ‘XL' moniker it would lend continuity to the Pixel range as a whole but that's really about it.
