The Straw Hats Embark on a New Adventure
The second season of One Piece’s live-action adventure delivered plenty of thrills as the crew set out for the Grand Line. For longtime fans, it was a chance to revisit the early days of the Straw Hat crew, while newcomers got to know these quirky, gradually endearing pirates.
Netflix has officially confirmed a third season is coming, and production has moved forward smoothly.
Next Stop: Alabasta
Season 3 will take the crew to the deserts of Alabasta. Fans of Eiichirō Oda’s original series know how pivotal this arc is, as Monkey D. Luffy’s legend truly takes off—especially in the eyes of the Navy. Expect high-stakes battles and major challenges ahead.
On June 30, Netflix announced on social media that filming for Season 3 had wrapped by sharing a cast photo from the set.
Spring 2027 Release Expected
With filming done, the show has entered post-production, a process expected to take several months. According to Netflix’s announcement and current production timelines, the new season is set to premiere sometime in 2027—most likely in the spring.
Meanwhile, another anime series, The One Piece, is reportedly expected on Netflix in February 2027, so the live-action debut is likely to follow.
Season 2 was released March 10 of this year, so fans are hoping they won’t have too long to wait before Luffy and the crew face the formidable Crocodile in Alabasta.
The One Piece Journey Continues
Whether you’ve been with One Piece from the beginning or just jumped in, the adventure is far from over. Keep a lookout—Luffy and his friends will return for their toughest battles yet in Alabasta.
