The official launch is around 3 weeks away but that has never stopped OnePlus from starting the hype machine early, as we saw with the OnePlus Nord back in July. This time around, it's the turn of the OnePlus 8T which is launching on its lonesome instead of a pair, and while that's a little disappointing from a tech enthusiast's perspective, it does mean that the regular 8T will gain some Pro features. As we've seen with today's confirmation that the OnePlus 8T will launch with a 120Hz Fluid display that will bring an ‘Ultra-Smooth' experience.

Besides the now-confirmed 120Hz refresh rate, the panel also brings 240Hz sampling rate which means reduced latency that translates into faster reaction times for gamers. The OnePlus software team is said to have implemented as many as 142 optimizations in their efforts to produce an ‘ultra-smooth' experience.

“”We’ve pushed the refresh rate to 120Hz for an even smoother display experience for our ultra-premium flagship OnePlus 8 Pro earlier this year. We were happy to see that it was widely received by our users.” said Pete Lau, founder and CEO of OnePlus”

Sporting 2.5D glass and a FHD+ resolution, the panel also supports HDR10+ and features 100% DCI-P3 color gamut that has helped the display earn an overall A+ rating from DisplayMate. The panel also uses the same E3 luminescent material as seen on the OnePlus 8 Series, which further reduces the harmful blue light.

The OnePlus 8T is officially launching on October 14th, are you looking forward to it?
