British retailers’ websites were showing listings for the 128GB Google Pixel 4a 5G last week, with one also showing the 128GB Google Pixel 5 – both available in black and white.

The retailer websites – More Computers and BT – revealed the model numbers for those devices destined for the UK market. These are GA01986-UK (128GB, white) and GA01316-UK (128GB, black) for the Google Pixel 5, and the Pixel 4a’s model numbers are GA01946-UK and GA01311-UK for the 128GB white and black models, respectively. Confusingly, another retailer – Computer Universe – also showed the GA01986-DE as a green Pixel 5. GA01986 is the same model number as the white British model, and DE could imply that this is a device destined for the German market. Just like authors, it’s not entirely unheard for retailer websites to be inaccurate (coughs). These product codes could be keyed in wrong, or the company simply used the only available code instead.

Google is busy preparing for the online reveal on September 30, where all of the details will be revealed. One of the biggest questions is the price, where BT is showing a £499 (about $640 equivalent) price for the Pixel 4a, but also the device is set to be released on October 15. The Pixel 5 is showing a higher price of £615 (about $788). It’s common for electronic devices to be relatively expensive in the UK compared with the US, so it’s possible that the rumored $699 price for the Pixel 5 will still happen.

We’ve a little over a week before we find out for sure, but it’s encouraging to see more evidence of these devices and their comparatively low prices.
