OnePlus 8T

It's time to seriously start thinking about the OnePlus 8T. We'll see a return to flagship form to complement the newly released but midrange OnePlus Nord, and it's sure to bring better camera performance and other cutting edge features. Looks like we might get another slick color option out of it, too.

OnePlus 8T renders and leaks

The newest renders, courtesy of @OnLeaks, show a pretty safe design that doesn't change too much from the OnePlus 8. That's not necessarily a bad thing, especially considering how great the last series of phones feels and looks. They might have lost a bit of originality compared to older OnePlus phones, but you can't deny that they look great.

The rest of the leak claims that we'll see a Snapdragon 865 under the hood instead of a Snapdragon 865+. That contradicts other leaks, so you'll want to keep an ear out for more details to see what's really going on at OnePlus HQ.

On the back of the phone you'll notice a quad-camera setup with an LED flash, similar to the OnePlus 8 again; the front camera is supposedly getting an upgrade to 32MP from the 16MP shooter on the current phones.

OnePlus will also improve the fast charging of the OnePlus phones to 65W, a pretty significant improvement from 30W. That's going to make for a blisteringly fast charge more in line with OPPO, OnePlus's sister company. This is accompanied by an increase in battery size, too.

Everything else seems very familiar, though. You'll find the usual slew of ports and buttons in their same spots, and the curved design and screen match up pretty well with the OnePlus 8. I'm sure there will be some slight differences, but we'll have to wait for an official announcement to find out. Best guesses have the phone launching the last week of September or early October, so we're not too far out.
