Mobvoi has announced the TicPods 2 Pro+ headphones, and we're pretty excited. The regular TicPods 2 Pro were some pretty stellar headphones that we reviewed very recently, and these new models promise more of the same with some key improvements. Sign me up.
Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro+
The naming is a little wordy, and I don't think anything needs to be a “pro plus” model, but here we are.
You'll notice a slightly refined case that Mobvoi says is a little more premium than last time around. We did note that the older case could've felt a bit better, so it's nice to see the improvements here.
The actual headphones themselves are improved and using independent connections to each earbuds with Qualcomm's latest wireless standard. That should result in improved connectivity on the earbuds and a more stable experience, although it won't do much for sound quality. Fortunately we didn't have an issue with how good the TicPods 2 Pro sounded.
Otherwise, this is an incremental improvement on a pair of headphones that were already very solid AirPods alternatives.
