IFA 2020 Special Edition, as it is being termed, is underway and despite what appears to be as many as 97% of the usual exhibitors staying home because of the pandemic, there have been some notable announcements all the same. Honor has unveiled a slew of new devices, including the new MagicBook range of laptops and a couple of new smartwatches called the Watch G5 Pro and the Watch ES.
MagicBook Series
Complete with AMED Ryzen 5 4600H processors, stunniing FullView displays, the new range of MagicBook laptops offer a great selection of hardware at affordable prices. The pick of the bunch is the MagicBook Pro that somehow fits a 16.1-inch FHD FullView display into a 15-inch form-factor, sporting bezels that are just 4.9mm thick.
Under the hood is an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor with 6 cores and 12 threads, along with integrated Radeon graphics. There's a nice big 512GB PCIe NVMe Solid-State-Drive (SSD), 16GB of RAM, and a big 56Wh battery with 65W fast-charging that can deliver a 50% charge in just 30 minutes.
Weighing in at just 1.7KG and just 16.9mm thin, the MagicBook Pro has a sandblasted aluminium chassis and comes in Space Grey. There's a pop-up webcam embedded in the keyboard, and the power button also includes a built-in fingerprint sensor for added security. The MagicBook Pro is already available to pre-order in the UK for £849 with a choice of either a MagicWatch 2, or Magic Earbuds and Honor Router bundled in for extra value.

As usual, these aren't coming to the US because of the current ban on Huawei, of which Honor is a subsidiary of. Which is a shame because there's a lot of value in the devices unveiled today during IFA 2020.
