Many people might be disappointed that the OnePlus 8 Pro will be shifting away from the company's unique design with pop-up cameras and a circular rear camera module, you can't deny they're not going all out with color options this time around.
Here's yet another leak showing off how the next OnePlus phone will look in ultramarine blue, and a bonus confirmation about how much the phone will cost.
New colors, higher prices
We've already seen the seafoam green color variant of the OnePlus 8 Pro, so this new shiny blue seems set to join onyx black and glacial green, giving users a pretty good choice of unique colors for their phone.
The leak also looks identical as far as design goes, further confirming the two 48MP cameras with an additional two 8MP and 5MP lenses for zoom and depth information. We're also expecting a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 865 CPU with 5G connectivity, and 30W fast wireless charging, plus IP68 water resistance certification.
But with that kind of hardware you're looking at a phone that outdoes most other flagship phones on the market. If you've been keeping track for the last couple years, you've seen the price of premium smartphones skyrocket, so that leaves us wondering: will the OnePlus 8 Pro also break the $1000 barrier?
No, according to Pete Lau. OnePlus wants to keep the pricing below $1000. That'll give it a leg up on Samsung, although LG was pricing the V60 ThinQ fairly aggressively, so OnePlus will still have some close competition.
It's a tall order trying to cram all of that hardware into a cheap phone, and OnePlus has slowly moved away from being quite so price aggressive like they were in the beginning with the $299 OnePlus One.
