While we wait for Samsung to announce its Galaxy Z Flip clamshell on February 11th, Motorola has already begun shipping its own foldable smartphone, the Moto Razr. We've already seen early reports of noisy hinges and of dirt getting under the display of the handset, so the question has to be asked as to just how robust the Moto Razr is?
CNet has managed to get its hands on a Moto Razr and attempting to find out if the folding smartphone is capable of folding up to 100,000 times. The tech site has posted a live stream on YouTube of SquareTrade's FoldBot machine folding and unfolding the Moto Razr, time after time. It's pretty monotonous to look at for any length of time, but it sure will be interesting to see if the Razr breaks before reaching 100K folds or if it's strong enough to prevail.
Is the Moto Razr up to the task? How many folds do you think the Razr will manage before the hinge decides to call it quits? Let us know your Deadpool guesses in the comments below.

Update: Well, it turns out that the Moto Razr fell short of the 100K mark. How short, I hear you ask? Well, it made it to the 27,000 mark, and stopped closing all the way on SquareTrade's FoldBot machine. While it isn't really representative of how a human might use the Moto Razr in everyday life, it's the closest thing we have measuring how robust the Razr is. When you consider that the Galaxy Fold managed 120,000 folds before showing damage, it's not a good sign.
