Samsung definitely appears to have stepped up its efforts to provide timely updates to its flagship phones in recent months, even beating Google to the punch with the release of the December Security Patch. Ahead of pushing out a stable Android 10 build to the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 handsets next month, Samsung is busy rolling out a new beta build to the Galaxy S9/S9+ and Galaxy Note 9.
Users in the UK saw the Android 10 beta roll out to their Galaxy S9, S9+, and Note 9 handsets a couple of weeks back, and now it's being pushed out to unlocked units in the US. The beta build includes the December security patch and is roughly a 2GB download, so you may want to connect to WiFi to download the firmware.
If you want some Android 10 goodness on your unlocked Galaxy S9, S9+, or Note 9, you'll need to open up the Samsung members app and register your phone for the Android 10/One UI 2.0 beta program. Once registration is complete, head to Settings to download and install the Android 10 beta firmware on your phone.
If you do decide to sign up for the Android 10/One UI 2.0 beta, let us know of any bugs or issues you may experience.
