Oops: You can buy the unannounced NVIDIA Shield TV Pro at Best Buy already 4

NVIDIA hasn't announced their new Shield TV Pro yet, but from some pretty substantial leaks we already know quite a bit about it. It's got a slightly upgraded CPU and supports Dolby Vision, for example.

But if you don't want to wait for NVIDIA to actually announce it to try it out yourself, you don't have to; it's already available for sale at Best Buy.

Shield TV Pro

Yep, for whatever reason Best Buy got shipments of the Shield TV Pro in early, and they're already available to sell with no street date. They're priced at $199 and if you can find one on the shelf, you can buy it. Pretty strange. The dongle is also available, if that's what you're looking for.

Both devices feature a new Tegra X1+ CPU and support HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, which should cover pretty much all of your media streaming needs. The Shield TV Pro still only has 16GB of storage, though, which doesn't seem very “pro,” and the dongle has a very meager 8GB.

They can also do some pretty fancy upscaling thanks to NVIDIA's GPU and machine learning tech, so your older, non-4K content should look a little better on these. They also have a newer remote with a dedicated Netflix button and volume buttons. The remote supposedly works on older Shield TV devices, too, which should make some other users pretty happy.

The Shield TV Pro sells for $199, while the dongle sells for $149. Let us know if you're able to pick one up.
