LG has announced Android 10 is finally coming to some of their devices 4

LG isn't known for particularly quick updates, and that's probably the biggest detractor from some of their otherwise great smartphones. It looks like they'll be one of the last to get onboard the Android 10 train, but it is happening.

They've announced an Android 10 preview that's going live for the LG G8 ThinQ, with plans to bring it to the V50S as well.

This isn't an official update yet, and you'll have to opt in through the Quick Help app on LG smartphones to request the OTA update. It brings all of the newest Android 10 features, including system-wide dark mode, gesture navigation, and more smart AI features. LG is also working on redoing some of their UX theme, which will probably be a welcome addition for many users. Hopefully it's a little less bright.

If you have an LG G8, try it out and let us know what you think. If you're not brave enough for early software, LG says they hope to have the update ready to go by the end of the year, which is only about two months away.
