With smartphones having become an extension of our arms, it should come as no surprise that we have become addicted to these small-screened dictators, picking it up with every buzz or beep that it makes. Since having your eyes glued to your phone makes you pay less attention to people and things around you, and make sleep more difficult to come by, OnePlus launched a feature in OxygenOS called Zen Mode that aims to help you put down your phone and enjoy life more. Now available directly from the Play Store instead of being a system app on OxygenOS, the OnePlus Zen Mode app has gained some new features such as the 21-day ZZZen challenge and a host of new rewards.
The Zen Mode app's new 21-day ZZZen challenge aims to train you into falling asleep within the same 2-hour period each night for 21 consecutive days. You'll be able to select your preferred 2-hour slot and if you manage to activate the Zen Mode app during that period without missing a day, you'll be awarded a virtual medal. If you miss a single day, you'll need to begin the challenge from the start. If 21-days sounds a little daunting, you can work up to it by starting with the 7- and 14-day challenges that don't require you to set a two-hour slot.
While this latest update is rolling out to the Play Store, the Zen Mode app is only compatible with OnePlus smartphones such as the OnePlus 5/5T, OnePlus 6/6T, and OnePlus 7/7T.
