If you can remember when the very first Call of Duty game came to PC then you'll no doubt have lost days or even weeks of your life playing what was then the most realistic shooting game around. Back then it was inconceivable that it would soon be possible to play Call of Duty on our smartphones with higher resolution graphics. But, that day has indeed come, because Activision's Call of Duty Mobile is now available to play on both Android and iOS devices with the aim of taking on PUBG Mobile and Fortnite.

For the first time on Mobile, players will be able to play many of the most popular maps, competitive modes, iconic characters such as John “Soap” McTavish, Simon “Ghost” Riley, and John Price, and familiar weapons that have featured in previous CoD games ranging from Black Ops to Modern Warfare. You'll also find some of CoD's most classic locations such as NukeTown, Crash, and Standoff, as well as numerous air, sea, and land vehicles to operate.
“Call of Duty: Mobile represents a landmark moment for us to bring one of the most successful entertainment franchises in history to the world’s largest platform,” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. “This is a triple-A, free to play experience that we’re delivering to a whole new audience of fans.”
As Activision's CEO mentions, the game is free-to-play, but we all know what that actually means. That's right, it's a freemium game with tons of In-App-Purchases to be bought at a cost ranging from $0.99 to $99.99, so if you aren't the only person playing the game on your device, make sure that purchases on the Play Store require a password or biometric permission
In terms of requirements, you only need to have a phone or tablet running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bear or higher, so that's a pretty low bar for entry. You can download Call of Duty Mobile for your Android and iOS devices by clicking the links below.
