Apple Music finally picks up Chromecast support, but only on Android 4

Despite being an Apple product, Apple Music on Android seems to get a good bit of attention. It doesn't have a very Android-esque interface, obviously, but if you can get past that, Apple's music streaming service is still a serious competitor even without an iOS device.

We'd heard some rumors that Apple would be adding Google Home or Chromecast support to the service, and now we're starting to see that sort of turn into something. The latest beta for the app on Android now has Chromecast support built right in.

If you're on the newest beta, not only do you currently have a dark mode and synchronized lyrics (which will be available to Apple users with iOS 13) but now you'll see a Chromecast icon while you're listening to music. So you can't tell your Google Home to play this music yet, but you can Cast it from your phone to all compatible speakers around your house.

Apple Music has been available for four years, so this is probably about 3.5 years too late, but hey, can't complain now that it's actually here, right?

Is this enough to tempt you over from Spotify, or maybe to finally ditch the neglected Google Play Music?
