Save the Date: OnePlus 7 Pro to launch on May 14th 4

After a spate of leaks pertaining to a regular OnePlus 7 and a OnePlus 7 Pro, camera specifications, as well as the company's CEO talking about the expensive next-gen display technology, OnePlus has finally announced when it will unveil its new smartphone. The OnePlus 7 Series will be officially announced on May 14th, with OnePlus holding launch events in four locations.

The OnePlus 7 Series launch events will be held in the US, UK, China, and India, on May 14th with early bird tickets available to purchase from April 25th. That being said, those lucky chaps over in Europe can already order Early Bird tickets from here which are discounted down to £16 from £30.

Launch event details:

  • New York, United States: 11 AM EDT @ Pier 94
  • London, United Kingdom: 4 PM BST @ Printworks
  • Bengaluru, India: 8:15 PM IST @ Bengaluru Exhibition Centre
  • Beijing, China: 2 PM CST @ Yanqi Lake

While it seems a little weird to be paying to watch a company launch a new smartphone, OnePlus usually rewards the attendees with a gift bag of goodies, although your mileage may vary. A word of caution: previous launch events have seen the tickets sell out very quickly, so act quickly if you want to attend a launch event.

The 7 Series launch events make it the largest ever community event in OnePlus's history with around 8,000 attendees turning out to see the company take the wraps off the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.
