Google has updated the Android Messages platform, making search an all-around better experience. Since Google is a search company you probably would've expected this to have been one of the first features of Android Messages, but hey, what can you do.
Now you'll be able to tap the search icon at the top of your app and dig into different types of content from the messages you've been sending. You can narrow that down to stuff you've sent with a certain contact, particular pictures or places, or just type an actual search query in and let Google's fancy AI take over to find what you need.
It's a small change, but it's another small piece of Google utilizing their incredible search capabilities to make everyday apps much easier to use. Keep an eye out for this update to roll out over the coming weeks.
