[Poll] And your favorite music streaming service is... 4

Last week we ran a poll about which music streaming services all of you are regularly using.  I don't think anyone will be too surprised about the winner, but I think there were some surprises in the results.

Google Play Music was the clear favorite, snagging nearly 40% of all of the votes cast in the poll. Whether it's just because Android users are more likely to roll with the music service or YouTube Red is just too good of a deal to pass up, it's obvious you guys like GPM.

Spotify managed to pull up in 2nd place with just over a quarter of all votes cast, but honestly I assumed it would be a little bit higher just because it's been around for so much longer and has a free tier.

Apple Music got beaten out by Pandora, which also surprised me, and unsurprisingly not many of you use Tidal. There was a pretty significant chunk of “Other” votes, too, which really proves how fragmented the music streaming scene is right now.

So, there you have it. Most of you readers want Google Play Music, you'll settle for Spotify, but you're barely interested in anything else. Thoughts?

  1. The “Ten Device” limit is frustrating on Google Play Music. Sounds like a lot but you can only deactivate 4 per year and if you switch phones or wipe your phone a lot, it can add up pretty quick.
