Redesigned Adobe Lightroom for Android announced 4

Adobe announced July updates for their Lightroom app on both the iOS and Android platforms today. For Android users, Adobe says they have redesigned the app “from the ground up.” The improvements include a completely overhauled user interface that appears to be more in alignment with Material Design concepts. Along with the interface changes, Adobe says the new, updated app will run faster and more efficiently.

Adobe provided some examples of the updated screens and interface in their announcement. For example, the Organize View ha been overhauled to make it easier to quickly scan through images to find the one you want to work on. Adobe also shared shots of the redesigned Edit and Selective Edit modes. The interface makes more use of sliders and better labeling of buttons to help users trying to edit on a mobile device.

Unfortunately, Adobe continues to have more of an iOS focus so no major features were added to the latest release of the Android version of Lightroom.
