Now is the time for you to get your best look yet at Google's upcoming phones. The Pixel and Pixel XL, which will take over for the Nexus line, are going to be launched very soon. It's no surprise that Pixel-related leaks are becoming bigger and more frequent with October 4 being the rumored launch date for Google's next round of devices.

Today, Google is having to deal with very clear photographs of the Pixel and Pixel XL being posted online before the phones are official. Now it's obvious the company will be implementing metal and glass for the bodies to give a premium look and feel.

Hit the break to see what's coming.

Up front, you're looking at a design that is similar to what HTC has worked into its own devices. The Pixel and Pixel XL's fronts are nearly identical to the HTC 10 and One A9 that were released in the last 11 months.

Aligning with HTC's devices is a strong possibility given that the company is allegedly Google's hardware manufacturer this year.

If you look at the Pixel on the right, you'll notice what is likely a new boot animation possibly specific for these phones. The lock screen, meanwhile, is what you already see on Android across most devices.

Things are very different on the other side, though. The backs of both phones, which are identical, feature aluminum all over except for the top third. Google and HTC put glass there instead.

The Pixel and Pixel XL are said to have 5- and 5.5-inch displays, respectively.

Need another look at the Pixel? Nest, a subsidiary of Google's parent, accidentally aired a commercial in the Netherlands showing the phone.

Both images were provided by someone under the pseudonym “Anonymous Alligator,” but the name shouldn't deter you from trusting what you see. The shots are very clear and line up with what we've heard in the past, leaving little left to the imagination.

  1. Both look like Samsung phones. So this is what HTC has become….making Galaxy clones and iPhone clones. Sad !!! What…No front facing stereo speakers??
