Samsung is definitely leading the smartwatch pack in terms of how many models they've released, and while one of these devices runs the new and exciting Android Wear, three of them run Samsung's own Tizen OS, which Samsung has no plans to abandon. In fact, Samsung are now boasting that there are over 1,000 apps available for their Tizen-powered watches and have released a handy infographic to help you find what they consider the best of the best.

While Android Wear is the hot topic in the wearable market, Tizen OS is just getting started and it will be interesting to see what Samsung does with the platform in the months to come (hopefully open it up to work with other devices). Let us know in the comments if you think over a thousand apps is enough to make the Galaxy Gear, Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo worth purchasing.

  1. one thing.. Runtastic does not seem to work. I still can not see why tizen makes me wanting it…over android wear

  2. I have the Neo Gear 2, I love it! I got mine for mother’s day and i make sure i charge it every night. I would like more free apps that interest me. they have too many games and really, the screen is to small for games and i wish it had wifi.

    1. Says the guy who more than likely hasn’t even seen one because of his extreme hate of “boring, useless stock Android”. What a joke.

    2. The only thing boring is your ulgy ass…Tizen is dead and no one gives a flying fuck…Bloated and laggy…
