It's any techie's dream. One charger for all (most) of their devices.

We've seen devices piled up on power-mats, but nothing really close to a three-way USB charger.

The USB plugs into the wall charger (as usual) on one end, and on the other, there three micro-USB plugs split from the original cable. With the $39.99 device, you'll be sufficiently able to charge three devices at once — but is it worth it?

An overnight charge will work fine for three devices (depending on your definition of “overnight,” of course), but a quick charge for the three devices certainly won't give them the boost they need to stay running until you're done for the day.

The cable distributes 2A of power evenly across three devices, which is the same amount of power usually distributed to one device from a normal charger. You can imagine what that does to charging time. But you can always speed up charging by using two devices instead of three — the device will not distribute power to the cable that's not plugged into a device, and distribute the 2A to the other two devices.

The device is still “coming soon,” so we have no idea on release date — stay tuned.
