As is the case with many devices, leaks and rumors leave little left to be desired when the time comes for a company to make an announcement. The Galaxy Alpha is no different and we have even seen images of the device. Today, we know what display resolution will be present on the upcoming Samsung device — 720p.

The company is finally listening to everyone giving the Galaxy Alpha a metal body (albeit just on the sides), but a 720p display is a rather mid-range specification. No matter what anyone thinks, this is what Samsung is moving forward with. The Galaxy Alpha will keep the dimpled, rubbery material on the back panel and include a fingerprint scanner. The 32GB of storage is all that is available, so owners of this handset will need to watch their space. So Samsung is giving people what they asked for while also making decisions on features that people both like and dislike.
