This year, T-Mobile CEO John Legere has promised to continue his assault on competitor carriers by trying to steal their customers— Verizon is planning to introduce a new program which it hopes will help retain customers and keep them from switching over.
The new program offers “loyalty” plans to customers who are in good standing with Verizon— the specific details are not yet available, but some sources suggest the plan could provide unlimited talk/text + 2 GB data for $60/month.
According to Verizon spokeswoman Debi Lewis, the plans won't be something that Verizon actively markets, but it will be something that sales teams can use in certain situations. (Probably when a customer is yelling at a sales rep over the phone and threatens to leave the carrier due to high costs and bad service.)
Unfortunately, it looks like these plans also have no support for hotspot functions and overage charges of about $10-$15 per GB. One-year service contracts are also required.
This program, and similar programs, have been in place at Verizon for a while now, but details on the offering are just starting to be revealed.

I made a contract with Verizon 2 days ago for that silly deal. I talked to a former rep for Verizon n he brought to my attention that they have a 6 gig deal for about the same price as the 2 gig one. So my question is this. 1. Is it possible to switch my current plan for the other?

They need to bring back unlimited data again! :P
At the very least they need to give us options that don’t involve unlimited talk and come at a lower price-point.
As long as all their options are unlimited talk (and priced accordingly), I won’t be interested.
