It seems as though Samsung has stepped up their investments in marketing. Instead of the usual 30 and 60-second spots, they are investing in short films. Last month they released “Dreams”, which later turned into a 60-second spot. They just released their second short called, “The Developer”, which is another music-inspired short film. This one features Lionel Messi and the hit single “Royals” by Lorde. In this video, a stranger (the developer) captures the imaginations of the children who live in a low income neighborhood.

These newer shorts are obviously a departure from what Samsung has done in the past, such as poking fun at the iSheep. Whether it's your thing or not, one can't deny the production and cost with these short films. They are done really well, but will they inspire people to buy the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear? Hit the break for the video.
