Well there you have it, folks. Sprint just announced that they will be making the Moto X available tomorrow, September 6th,  for $199.99, and will also be throwing in a “Lifetime Unlimited Guarantee.” If you are switching to Sprint from another carrier, you are also eligible for a $100 credit toward the phone you choose to buy. (This would make the Moto X $99.99.)

The Sprint Unlimited Guarantee promises customers unlimited talk (calls to any wireline or mobile phone), text and data while on Sprint’s all-new 3G and 4G LTE network, for the life of the line of service. This guarantee is available to new and existing customers who sign up for Sprint’s new Unlimited, My WaySM or My All-inSM plans, and will apply to customers as long as they remain on the plan, meet the terms and conditions of the plan and pay their bill in full and on time.

So that's pretty good news to hear… In their press release, Sprint also made it known that Moto Maker will be available to customers looking to customize their Moto X within the coming months. Other than that, everything seems to be pretty much the same as it is with every other carrier.

With more than 2,000 possibilities to choose from, customers can design a phone that's uniquely theirs from the front to the back, to the accents, the wallpaper, the memory and even pair it with matching accessories.

Moto X customers will also be eligible for the Sprint Unlimited GuaranteeSM.

“Moto X is the first smartphone that can respond to your specific needs with features like Touchless Control, Active Display and Quick Capture,” said David Owens, Vice president-Product Development, Sprint. “We expect customers to quickly become hooked on Touchless Control because of its ease and convenience for everyday tasks like locating the nearest gas station, ordering a pizza or searching the Web for sports updates. Sprint ensures that our customers can use Moto X to its fullest potential without having to worry about overage fees on their wireless bill.”

Powered by Android™ 4.2.2, Jelly Bean, Moto X makes it so easy to search the Web and snap photos with features like Touchless Control and Quick Capture. Here’s how customers can make the most of these features with an Unlimited plan from Sprint:

  • Simply say, “OK Google Now,” followed by a command, and Moto X will deliver without ever having to touch the device. When searching the Web is this easy, customers will be checking sports scores every few minutes rather than once or twice a game, so they won’t want to worry about data caps.
  • Finding the closest restaurant to meet friends for dinner will be a snap, because they can change restaurants or locations with ease. Simply tell Moto X to find the nearest Thai restaurant and pull up the menu. When the mood changes to Italian ask Moto X to search again. It’s that easy and customers will appreciate the effortless task of planning dinner reservations without having to worry about going over their data limit.
  • It’s never been easier to capture and post the perfect selfie or share life’s important moments with family and friends. With just two twists of the wrist, Moto X is ready to take photos. Capturing and sharing all these pictures could blow through a capped data plan in no time.

The new Unlimited, My Way and My All-in rate plans feature unlimited talk, text and data while on the Sprint network for as little as $80 per month (excluding taxes and fees). The Unlimited, My Way plan can offer customers a significant savings when compared to competitors’ capped data plans. For example, smartphone customers can save $30 per month vs. Verizon’s comparable plan with only 4GB of data.1

Sprint continues to bring a better wireless experience to more customers across the country as it builds out its all-new 3G and 4G LTE network, currently in 151 markets.
