See how Apple's iPhone 5 stacks up against its Android competitors 5

In case you've been living under a rock, Apple announced its redesigned iPhone 5 earlier today at an event in San Francisco. The newest iteration brings a slew of enhancements, including a larger 4-inch screen and a thinner 7.6mm body. To get a better feel as to how the new handset matches up against its Android competitors, we've included a comparison chart outlining the specs of Apple's iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X and Motorola's new Droid RAZR HD. Be sure to take a gander after the break.

Note: the models listed below are US variants.

  1. The chart is not correct. Processor – Shown to be quad core from another web site (not known at this time), RAM is not known, Colors are black / slate and white / silver.

  2. The S3 and One X are quad core internationally. The only reason they produced the dual core versions were because the quad core chips were NOT compatible with America’s 4g LTE sp’s

  3. If I were heavily invested in iPhone and wanted the iPhone 5, wouldn’t all my accessories that physically connect to the iPhone be rendered almost useless with the new iPhone 5 connection?? I know you can get an adapter, but that only helps with some situations.

    1. Hello there Lost_Cause!

Those stats they show here for the iPhone 5 are directly from the Apple site. Those are 100% down the line correct. If you were smart enough to read before coming here and saying they’re wrong, you’d obviously would have read Apple’s site on the iPhone.

Matter of fact, Apple has a great deal on their site listed about it. The only thing they don’t tell you is what kind of battery it has in it, hence the ? here where the batter is listed. Learn to read!

      1. You are wrong. As I stated above…
The chart is not correct. Processor – Shown to be quad core from another web site (not known at this time), RAM is not known, Colors are black/slate and white/silver. I’m curious, did you come up with this chart that you take such offense to someone else calling it out?

        1. It will not be quad core on any device in the US till the Carriers make it possible, so where did you get your information? Hmmm? As far as color goes, who gives a rats arse, colors do not equate the functionality of the phone, only the technical specs do. I don’t care if it’s hot pink with black binding around the edges, it’s not going to mean crap as far as the performance goes.

And as far as Lost_Cause is concerned he’s one person on this site I can do without, he’s nothing more than a f’n Apple lemming that follows them nose down in the dirt. He’s a stupid troll that frequents here and I’m sick of him. Follow in his footsteps do you?

  4. I think that apple phones arent that great but tgere is a cult built around it, if you look at the specs you will see that the phones are better or similar to the iphone5 but apple sells well because of the cult they built around themselves and because of good marketing not because of amazing products. Also why can they buy LTE patents and use them if they say that htc patents relating to LTE should be canceled because they bought them. Also take a look at this and see what you think- Picasso had a saying: ‘Good artists copy. Great artists steal.’ And we’ve always been shameless about stealing great ideas.” Steve Jobs, 1996 “I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.” Steve Jobs, 2010

  5. I seriously love my S3. I saw the stuff that this new iPhone offered and it’s not really exciting. At all. Panorama? Really? Android has had that for over a year now and then some. Sorry Apple, you used to be innovative. Now you’re just insulting.

  6. the s3 specs (processor and ram) are wrong. unless you’re talking about a variant then you should’ve specified that this isn’t the international version.

    1. Quit being a moron, they are comparing the US models on all of this, get a clue. Because everyone knows that the US carriers can’t have quad core anything on their stupid systems.
