Android-Powered Samsung Zipel Oven is Controlled by Your Phone

In Korea, Samsung has just launched the catchy MC368GAAW5A, or the Zipel ceramic oven, which can be fully controlled by an Android app. The app has over 160 different dishes to choose from, and when selected, can be sent to the oven over your home Wi-Fi network. Once received, the oven sets itself appropriately and begins cooking your meal. Currently, the app is only optimized specifically for phones with an 800×480 resolution, but future updates should fix that.

This magical smart oven can also speak to you and tell you how many calories the food you’re preparing has, as well as how much it weighs. It is also easily cleaned and more efficient than traditional ovens. Sign me up!

Of course, this is currently only available in Korea for now. But let’s hope it makes it to this side of the globe soon!
