The ICS desktop for Windows

If you have ICS on your phone or tablet, chances are, you love it. If not, chances are, you want it. In either case here’s something we can all appreciate. Flickr user David Molina set out to bring the beauty of Android Ice Cream Sandwich to his desktop, and with a little tweaking and the right tools, he definitely succeeded.

If you want the same look for your Windows system, here are the components you’ll need:

The Ice Cream Sandwich wallpaperfrom WallBase
The APPOWS2010 theme for Windows 7 from DeviantArt to tweak the taskbar
RocketDock with a blank theme to create the dock on the left side
The Ice Cream Sandwich Icon Packfrom DroidPirate
The Rainmeter system monitor and configuration tool for Windows
The Minimal Bar skin for Rainmeter to display the time and date
The Lexis skin for Rainmeter to display the weather
Simplesentencethree for Rainmeter for the currently playing music display in the lower-right corner
The Google Search Bar for Rainmeter
The Roboto Font (specifically Roboto Light)

That’s surely no short list, but the end justifies the means.

Ahh.. what the Hades. I’m gonna do this. I do lika da ICS. This is why I use Twitter after all. To gain life changing info such as this right heh. Also to see who tweets “Temple Run for Android is now available!”

Not a fan of the wallpaper. I’m sure there’s an ICS wallpaper out there that doesn’t look like it was stretched to three times its own size.
