We first heard about the Huawei MediaPad back in June when it was expected to be the first device to feature Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Huawei is now telling us the WiFi version will be available early next year in the U.K. for £275 (US$440). They will also offer a HSDPA+ (14.4 Mbps) version, but they are still negotiating with carriers, so we don’t have any pricing yet.

The specs include a 7-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, HDMI, and Android 3.2 Honeycomb.

Huawei also announced that the Vision smartphone will be available at U.K. retailer Phones 4U by December 25. Pricing should be aroud £25 ($40) a month with subsidies from carriers with the hopes of confirming carriers early next year.

The Vision will have a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM 8255 processor and a 5MP camera capable of recording 720p video. At 9.9mm thick and 121 grams, you will have your choice of silver, rose, gold, or charcoal grey.

China’s a communist country that fills the planets’ politics, the internet and all media with terrorists, spies, trolls and propaganda that wants the rest of the planet to war with each other and die away, and it does it by hiding behind the planets largest and most reprehensible and anemic wall, both a firewall and an actual physical wall. Why should I buy a cheap Chinese-labour made product using capitalist developed technology to support this communist empire that aims at running and subjugating and murdering all our peoples and all our futures. Purchasing anything from China makes positively no sense. No economic logical sense and no common practical sense. Just say NO to China!

Hi Bob, I too have my share of bees in the bonnet about China, but certainly when it comes tablet computers – good luck finding any that aren’t made there… If there’s even one to compile, maybe someone can put together a list of those made elsewhere.
