Samsung Galaxy S9 color rumors

When it comes to smartphones, black seems to be a ubiquitous choice that spans manufacturers and models. So we will not be surprised to see the Samsung Galaxy S9 launch next year with an all black version of the smartphone. Outside of that, sources are hinting that a pleasant surprise may be in store for consumers who have plans to hop on the Galaxy S9 train next year.

Besides the perennial choice of black, sources believe Samsung will also release a gold version and a blue version. Those would not be surprising options considering the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is comprised of that color palette. The one color option that may be a surprise entry next year is purple. Sources do not know whether a purple Galaxy S9 would take the form of a lighter shade similar to Samsung’s Coral Blue option or if it would be a deep, darker shade of purple closer to a violet. The latter might be a nice twist for consumers considering a Deep Blue version if that is one of the colors released.

Last year there were rumors of a plum colored Galaxy S8 being released by Samsung, but that never panned out. A color that did recently get the green light from Samsung is a Burgundy Red that was recently launched. So Samsung definitely has the ability to throw some different colors into the mix.

The big question for those interested in a unique color for a Galaxy S9 will be availability in their particular market. Samsung has a penchant for releasing colors only to specific markets instead of globally, so that could end up thwarting anyone interested in a purple smartphone should such a phone be released.

What color do you wish Samsung would make their next flagship available in?
